Why brushing is essential

You have heard too much to count that it’s important to brush your teeth every day. You might take this sound advice as a matter of course after a while. And here is a “catch up” on what happens if you don’t brush your teeth and the explanation for your health — and your wallet — how good oral hygiene is advantageous.

What happens if your teeth are not brushed?

In your mouth there are over 300 different forms of bacteria. If you have not cleaned your teeth, these bacteria are absorbed in food particles and hindered debris, which ultimately contribute to tooth decay. If you avoid brushing your teeth for just one day, the contact between these bacteria and particles will possibly lead to a poor taste and smell in your mouth.

The consequences will not necessarily be serious, if you are not brushing a night (although you need to try to get back on track immediately). But you can increase the risk of bone and tissue loss around the teeth if you have lost brushing more often or if your attention has diminished to detailed and proper brusher.

Bacteria will grow up to form a clear sticky film on your teeth called the plaque if you don’t regularly brush your teeth. Plaque should be removed, as it can lead to caries and a gum disease known as gingivitis. Also, bacteria present in the plaque break down the sugar left on your teeth after you consume. As the sugar breaks down it transforms into acid that can weaken the teeth’s outer coating — called enamel — and cause cavities called holes.

Benefits of proper brushing

To prevent these issues (bad smell, gingivitis caries and bone loss), make sure that you regularly brush, floss and rinse your teeth with fluoride rinse as everyday routine. The daily brush of your teeth helps to extract and avoid plaque formation.  Maintaining a good oral health routine is particularly critical for cavity-sensitive people. Dentists advise to brushing twice every day for two minutes and, to floss once a day!

Consistent care will result in less time in the office of the dentist and lower the pressure on your pocket due to a large amount of dental work. Clean more and more and you’re going to get a happier smile.
